Sabine Amend - Associate

Sabine, founder of Kultur & Management (est. 1998 in Cologne) with headquarters in Dennver area (Colorado , USA) , and a subsidiary in Frankfurt/Main, Germany, has focused her practice in the areas of cross-cultural competency-development, global perspective-taking, and change/creativity. The motto of Kultur & Management is Facilitating Global Insight, Creativity, and Action for Leaders, Teams, and Organisations. The business model is based on entrepreneurial networks and collaborations around the globe. She is also the founder of SAMIKA: Building Adaptive Minds (est. 2011). Moreover, Sabine has taught, designed and written courses on international marketing management, strategic and sustainable self-leadership, intercultural management and entrepreneurship at graduate level for the business school of a US-based university for 10 years.

Generative behaviors, creating enabling conditions for creativity and innovation, especially in the context of cultural diversity, and facilitating sustainable learning and change, are the key areas of her professional practice. To these tasks, she brings artful listening, a broad range of design, education, coaching and a sophisticated set of facilitation skills which combine analytical and strategic thinking with play-based and arts-based methodologies.

Sabine's perspective is informed by more than 25 years of international living and working, including several long-term international relocations, and by immigrant-experience in the United States. Her formal education includes a B. A. from London University (School of Oriental and African Studies) and Beijing Normal University in Chinese and History, and an M.A. from Brunel University in European Marketing Management. She is also trained in Laban Movement Analysis, is a certified Gyrotonic© and Gyrokinesis© instructor, and a practitioner of improvised physical theater forms.

Sabine has served clients in North America, Europe, South Africa and East Asia. These clients have included international corporations in the automotive, chemical, engineering, IT, pharmaceutical and professional services industries, as well as medium-sized and small businesses, city governments and non-profit organizations. Increasingly, her focus is shifting towards providing very inspiring and adventurous learning for youth to build the next-generation capacities to create a world we can thrive in.
